Haas VF-3APCQ Dual Pallet Changer Vertical
The Haas VF-3APCQ is a VMC that features dual pallet stations, four pallets and a 40-tool side-mount tool changer to provide four times the capacity of a standard VMC. Each Automatic Pallet Changer features a heavy-duty cast-iron base and is secured directly to the VMC for stability. The turnkey system requires minimal training and runs seamlessly from the VMC’s control.
The VF-3 Mini FMS allows non-machining tasks, such as fixture set-ups and part changeovers, to be performed off-line on one pallet, while parts are being machined on another pallet. Each pallet can be set up with a different operation for multi-op parts, or different jobs can be set up on each pallet for multiple short runs.
With all four pallets loaded, the VMC may be run unattended for lights-out manufacturing.
Haas Automation's VF-3FMS vertical machining centre has 1,016 x 508 x 635 mm xyz travels and is built using all American-made cast-iron components. Like every Haas machine, the VF-3 represents years of ongoing refinement. The Haas VF-3FMS is a rugged, medium-sized VMC that yields full reliability and accuracy in a moderately-sized machine. The VF-3 has a 40-taper cartridge spindle driven by a 20 hp vector Dual-Drive (Y-Delta) drive. The VF-3 produces either 75 ft-lb of torque at a low 1,200 rpm, or 250 ft-lb at 450 rpm with the optional 2-speed gearbox - and will also run up to 7,500 rpm in 1.2 seconds for finishing aluminium.
